The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training & Certification team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced education programs leader and manager to define, drive and deliver a global, world class multi-level AWS technical education program to address the demand for skilled cloud IT professionals.

In this role, with your passion for educating adult learners, you will select, on-board, manage, lead, and inspire a team of program managers and technical trainers to define and build new education programs that develop adult learners into skilled cloud IT professionals using a multi-modal training program that combines instructor led training, lab exercises, scenario-based project sprints, and more to develop and hone cloud based skills for a variety or traditional and non-traditional students. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop internal and external customer facing technical education programs
  • Define, build, and maintain college level technical education programs in multiple modalities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with student intake sources
  • Operationalize overlapping global groups of learners undertaking multi-month long technical learning paths
  • Direct and lead the development of learning strategies for scenario based adult learning exercises
  • Define and operationalize success metrics and completion criteria for learning programs
  • Staff, manage, and direct a global team of program managers and instructors
  • Oversee and manage education vendor relationships and tools
Maintain a close working relationship with content and curriculum developers
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technical adult learning and education program development and management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing global staff in a fast paced, complex, content and curriculum development release environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education or business studies
  • An AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification
