Seeking Spanish- and English-Speaking Research Assistant: Combined Volunteer and Paid Position

The Beebe Mother-Infant Filming Lab at New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University Medical Center, is seeking a Spanish-speaking candidate with a BA/BS in Psychology or related field, who will film mother-infant interaction at 4 months and infant attachment at 12 months in conjunction with a funded grant.
This is a two-day position for two years. One day is volunteer and one day is paid. The volunteer day will be Tuesday or Thursday 10am-6pm. The paid day will be Monday morning (half-day) and Friday morning (half-day). The paid day is $5,000/yr.
The position is an ideal opportunity for students who recently graduated from college and are looking for research experience before applying to graduate school. The student will get hands-on experience interacting with subjects, coordinating and observing filmed interactions, and learning from other researchers involved in the study.
This student will be working on a funded grant which is examining the influence of environmental toxins on mother-infant communication, and infant social and cognitive development, as well as the potential epigenetic mechanism of the influence of environmental toxins.
