Roles and Requirements of a Lead Carpenter
Established residential contractor seeking qualified Lead Carpenter for renovation and repair work. Great benefits and pay with the opportunity for career advancement. Lead Carpenters will typically work alongside a Carpenter and/or Carpenter Helper. We are looking for people that can start and finish a job or task while monitoring and guiding the progress of Carpenters and Carpenter Helpers. A willingness to take on additional leadership roles and mentor other employees will allow the opportunity for promotion.
Job Description:
- Interior trim and built-in cabinetry
- Installation of interior doors and pocket doors
- Installation of door and cabinet hardware
- Miscellaneous framing, siding, and roofing on a small scale
- Window and exterior door installation
- IPE decking installation
- Exterior railing construction
- Building stairs
- Siding and exterior trim
- Screening porches
- Additional tasks in-line with the above items; work scope changes
- Framing experience and expertise a PLUS
- Ability to analyze and solve problems on-site, including observing subcontractors, is a PLUS
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in carpentry and construction
- Hand tools and basic power tools
- Driver’s license and work vehicle
- Mastery of all skills of construction and ability to complete the task at hand
- Reliable, honest, drug free, able to follow directions, and attention to detail
- Punctual, organized, respectful, and attentive
- Confidence on ladders and scaffolding
- Work independently and with a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
