Overview
As a Product Manager specializing in Customer Experience within the Education Technology industry, you will lead efforts to ensure our platform delivers exceptional learning experiences for students, educators, and administrators across various channels, including mobile, web, and other digital platforms. Your deep understanding of both the educational landscape and product development processes will be instrumental in driving our product strategy forward. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gathering insights, and leveraging your expertise to shape innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of our users across different channels.
Responsibilities
- User-Centric Approach Across Channels: Champion the needs of users across different channels, including mobile, web, and other digital platforms. Utilize hands-on user research and engagement to gather insights into their preferences, challenges, and aspirations, ensuring that their needs are met seamlessly across all touchpoints.
- Channel-Specific Optimization: Dive deep into the unique characteristics and requirements of each channel to optimize the user experience. Take a hands-on approach to developing features and enhancements that leverage the strengths of each platform while ensuring consistency and coherence across channels.
- Educator and Administrator Enablement: Work directly with educators and administrators to understand their workflows and preferences across different channels. Leverage hands-on experience to develop tools and resources that empower them to accomplish their tasks efficiently, whether on mobile, web, or other digital platforms.
- Accessibility and Inclusivity Across Channels: Take a proactive approach to ensuring accessibility and inclusivity across all channels. Utilize hands-on experience with inclusive design principles to advocate for features that meet the needs of diverse learners and users, regardless of the platform they are using.
- Channel-Specific Roadmapping: Develop a hands-on approach to defining a clear product vision and roadmap for each channel. Prioritize features and enhancements based on hands-on analysis of user feedback, channel-specific requirements, and business objectives, ensuring that each platform evolves in alignment with overall strategic goals.
- Cross-Channel Collaboration: Collaborate hands-on with design, engineering, content development, sales, and customer support teams to drive alignment on channel-specific priorities and deliverables. Your hands-on involvement will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across departments, ensuring a seamless user experience across all channels.
- User Testing and Feedback Across Channels: Personally conduct hands-on user testing sessions and gather feedback from users across different channels. Utilize your hands-on analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to iteratively improve features and ensure a consistent and user-centric approach to product development across all touchpoints.
- Data-Driven Decision Making Across Channels: Dive deep into data analytics and user metrics for each channel to track product performance and identify areas for improvement. Your hands-on approach to data analysis will enable you to make informed decisions that drive channel-specific enhancements and optimizations.
- Compliance and Security Across Channels: Take a hands-on approach to ensuring compliance and security across all channels. Work closely with legal and compliance teams, leveraging your hands-on expertise to address any channel-specific compliance-related concerns and ensure a secure user experience across all platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, computer science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in product management, preferably in the education technology industry.
- Deep hands-on understanding of educational pedagogy, learning theories, and instructional design principles.
- Strong hands-on technical acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Excellent hands-on communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for education and a commitment to improving learning outcomes for all students.
- Hands-on knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices across different channels is a plus.
