Primary Objectives of the Position:
Drive store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer projects needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly
Coordinate the overall supervision of retail staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and procedures are followed accurately
Regulate retail inventory to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure report accuracy
Delegate daily workload among associates to meet merchandising and visual presentation standards
Major Areas of Accountability:
Supervises and coordinates assigned retail sales functions and personnel under the guidance and direction of the Store Manager. Uses independent judgement and thinking in retail sales and personnel matters. Answers questions from store personnel on products and procedures. Provides technical expertise.
Ensures that required changes are made on the sales floor by making sure all products are displayed properly priced and signed. Stock is rearranged to promote sales, new products are effectively displayed and are maintained.
Handles customer complaints, and assists sales personnel with problem situations. Ensures the Sales Representatives follow the Customer Service Standards.
Opens and closes the store premises according to established policies and procedures.
Spends adequate time on the retail show floor in a ?position to notice? to ensure an employee productivity and customers are being assisted to customer service standards.
Ensures thorough observation and coaching of Sales Associates and Cashiers on productivity and job description.
Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary to effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
Ensures the inventory level and product placement on the sales floor is adhered to Company standards.
Enforces company safety policies and procedures.
Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Post High School training at the college or vocational level
Experience may be substituted for education
2-5 years retail experience
Knowledge on hardware products
Leadership and analytical skills required
Excellent people skills necessary
Basic computer skills desirable
Must be in good physical condition capable of lifting, carrying and pushing weights up to 100 pounds and have full use of both arms, legs and both hands
Must be able to climb stairs, reach above, below and at shoulder level
Must be able to obtain a valid commercial drivers license
Pre-employment and random drug testing required
Must attend all training sessions required by law
Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company
