Summary
This position is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Cashier-Checker, NF-2091-01 position with DLA Installation Operations. Pool in the Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Division.

This position is a Flexible (Flex) position. You may be regularly scheduled or scheduled on an as needed basis, but there are no guaranteed hours. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits.

This is an Open Continuous/Standing Register job opportunity announcement (JOA). This announcement will be used to fill vacancies as they become available at the Installation Operations Columbus, Pool, Whitehall, Ohio. The first cut-off date is 9 May 2018. The closing date of this job opportunity announcement is 29 Jun 2018. You MUST reside in the commuting area of the position.

Responsibilities
As a Cashier-Checker, NF-2091-01, the incumbent is responsible for:

1. Receiving cash or credit cards in payment for merchandise, registering and servicing equipment checkout.
2. Maintaining record of sales.
3. Providing information concerning availability of goods sold, pricing, and condition of merchandise.
4. Preparing requisitions for items sold; insuring that proper stock levels are maintained; securing stock at close of business.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Experience handling cash and credit card transactions, conducting inventories, maintain record sales, and maintain proper stock levels.

Additional information
180-day Restriction for Military Retirees: Military retirees are unable to be appointed to NAF positions for 180 days after their retirement date, as documented on their DD-214. Military retirees who, by the closing date of the announcement, have been retired from the military for more than 150 days may apply; however, they will not be appointed until they have reached the 180 day mark.
