The Test Manager is responsible for strategic planning for testing efforts. Key responsibilities include advising the customer on innovative testing products and solutions; defining and administering standard testing architecture methodologies, processes, and tools across the engagement; creating test estimates and defining/building reusable testing assets for large/complex projects. The Test Lead will work closely with other Test Architects and delivery teams, to ensure compliance with the test plan and methodology throughout the life cycle of the project. The Test Lead will lead test activities as required.
Provide input to estimating models and refine factors as necessary
Facilitate appropriate use of standard estimation model(s)
Responsible for development of test estimates within area(s) of responsibility
Work with other project team architects, delivery managers, and project managers to ensure consistency in estimating and understanding of requirements
Provide test expertise in the development of test processes, standards and guidelines for the unit
Responsible for the creation of the Test Strategy and Test Approach deliverables and provide strategic direction for testing activities/initiatives
Provide testing SME support across area(s) of responsibility
Advise onsite team on industry standards and practices in the area of testing
Evaluate testing products and develop proofs of concepts for new, innovative solutions
Manage data load and scheduling for testing usage
Provide input to the test environment plan
Ensure correct use of automated testing tools as appropriate
Provide input and guidance in the development of test data approach as appropriate
Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities in the testing area
Plan and support integrated testing of all applications within and across domains as defined by the project test plan to ensure business process flow is adequately supported
Conduct test quality assurance reviews for large/complex projects
Support the planning and preparation for UAT
Develop short-term and long-term planning to maintain alignment with the client's current and future needs
Work with AFS colleagues to identify and replicate testing best practices
Define, develop and build reusable testing assets
Communicate and work with client personnel as necessary
Manage key vendor relationships
Build strong customer relationships
Ensure issues are being recorded, tracked and updated
At least 4 years in a supervisory capacity
At least 7 years of experience software testing
At least 3 years writing test automation scripts in a large enterprise environment. (using a combined suite of tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Tosca, Cucumber, Worksoft Certify or HP UFT/BPT or equivalent)
At least 3 years experience creating estimates and managing work plans
US Citizenship Required/No Dual Citizens
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with at least three software development lifecycle activities; Agile, Waterfall, XP, PMP, etc.
Recent Java, .NET and SQL development background
Recent Experience with CI/CD tool architectures; Jenkins, Git.*, Maven, Jira, Nagios, Ansible, etc.
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
