People Operations Specialist

You will be a leader in the People Operations team and responsible for employment operations for a global workforce. We are expanding internationally at a rapid pace and need to expand our expertise to build the infrastructure now that will enable us to quickly scale globally and manage centrally. You will play a key role in shaping our employment practices through research, benchmarking, and using our preferred global approach. You will make thoughtful deviations to align with cultural practices and statutory requirements. We need you to identify, recommend, and lead automation and process improvement in the area of global compliance and the employee experience. To be successful you will bring strong expertise and experience, a natural intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence. Additionally, you'll need to be proactive in building relationships cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Legal and with Amazon’s HR functions.
Apply global employment compliance practices
Assist in design and implementation of global employment compliance infrastructure
Assist in creation and delivery of compliance and global employment training
Partner with Amazon Immigration and HR Services to manage global immigration and relocation
Provide day to day support to employees and business partners regarding employment, immigration, and relocation questions
Apply Twitch processes to onboard and offboard contingent workers, including advising hiring managers on the process
Assist in management of global contingent workforce, including tracking contract start and end dates; partnering with external vendors and hiring managers to begin, end, and extend employment contracts in accordance with local laws and regulations; and maintaining database of employment information
In partnership with the Workplace and IT teams, resolve employee issues and questions regarding their work environment and equipment
Apply company guidelines, practices, and procedures on global employment
Create and maintain employment records and data accuracy in Workday
Pull and prepare data in response to reporting requests and audit requirements
Document employment practices, procedures, policies in local languages
Maintain Twitch Wikis
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3+ years in HR role, with a focus on employment and operations
Extensive employment compliance experience in a rapidly growing company expanding globally
Knowledge of domestic employment compliance (specifically CA) in the areas of required policies, leaves of absence, and immigration
Proven ability to think creatively about how to approach compliance in a culture that craves freedom
Proven ability to organize, summarize, clarify, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly and accurately
Proven ability to lead and coordinate efforts of a team to achieve results
