Director of Revenue

Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage an efficient and effective Revenue accounting function supporting strong financial controls

An expert knowledge of software revenue recognition accounting rules under ASC 985 and 605. Will lead the Company’s adoption of ASC 606
Prepare/review and reconcile revenue and deferred revenue schedules and journal entries
Prepare/review VSOE and BESP calculations and analysis
Work closely with the Sales Operations to facilitate customer contract review and analysis
Drive continuous improvement with internal controls to facilitate accurate and timely reporting of Revenue and other KPI’s (such as billings, collections etc.)
Implement best practice policies, procedures, and processes in the Revenue function to prepare the Company to adopt ASC 606 and to go public, including SOX readiness
Coordinate external audit compliance for the Revenue and Accounts Receivable functions
Work closely with FP&A to continuously develop and refine process around revenue forecasting
Provide guidance/training to groups outside of revenue function to ensure alignment and understanding of revenue-recognition implications of customer contracts
Proactively engage with cross-functional teams and leaders to identify and resolve challenges and issues as they relate to the Revenue function
Supervise Accounts Receivable function and coordinate billings, collections and responsible for ensuring sales tax compliance

Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field (foreign equivalents degrees are acceptable)

Certification: Must have active Certified Public Accountant license/certification

Experience: In addition to degree and certification, must have at least 10 years experience gained in a BIG 4 public accounting firm and/or Revenue Accounting function for a multi-national public or a large private company.
