Full Job Description
FireEye is the leader in intelligence-led security-as-a-service. Working as a seamless, scalable extension of customer security operations, FireEye offers a single platform that blends innovative security technologies, nation-state grade threat intelligence, and world-renowned Mandiant® consulting. With this approach, FireEye eliminates the complexity and burden of cyber security for organizations struggling to prepare for, prevent, and respond to cyber attacks. FireEye has over 7,500 customers across 67 countries, including more than 50 percent of the Forbes Global 2000.
FireEye Threat Intelligence is a proactive, forward-looking means of qualifying threats poised to disrupt an organization based on the intents, tools, and tactics of the attacker. Our high-fidelity, comprehensive intelligence delivers visibility beyond the typical attack lifecycle, adding context and priority to global threats before, during, and after an attack.
The Intelligence Briefing Intern will draw from FireEye’s threat intelligence reports to create presentations on diverse cyber topics, tailored to an executive audience or customized for a specific customer.
Identify cyber topics or reports of interest to executives and conduct research to distill the most important take-aways for a particular audience
Design slide decks and write accompanying talking points under the direction of senior analysts, to enable others to easily brief the material
Maintain a repository to ensure up-to-date briefing materials are readily accessible for executives and other FireEye employees
This internship will include on-the-job training, so interns will need to have the capability to learn designated subject matter and roles relatively easily, but are not necessarily expected to already have direct experience with the intelligence briefing role. Candidates deemed likely to have the necessary skill sets, will be asked to perform a simple evaluation task during the candidate selection process to further evaluate their capabilities.
Beneficial experience, skills, and knowledge include the following:
Attention to detail to ensure content accuracy, consistent formatting, and visual appeal of briefing material
Strong writing and analysis skills with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented attitude
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and intelligence
Skilled in delivering oral presentations
Prior experience curating the most relevant content for a regular deliverable
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.
