The Engineering Manager will have global responsibility for all Technical aspects of Air Disc Brake Remanufacturing and will also work heavily amongst multiple departments of the organization (Engineering, Specifications, Purchasing, Operations, Quality EHS, Program and Product Line management).
Oversee the process and product designs for Air Disc Brake Remanufacturing
Develop product and process technical specifications
Initiate, review, and approve all Bills of Material (BOM)
Recommend and approve Material and Process specifications
Develop and execute Design and Process Validation plans. Coordinate Validation testing.
Collaborate with Marketing to provide technical backup for all marketing materials.
Develop expertise in all-makes Air Disc Brakes and oversee design and implementation of product improvements to differentiate AxleTech remanufactured products.
Support operation in the development of the process flow, assembly equipment, quality checks, work instructions, control plans, end-of-line (EOL) testing, functional/durability testing as required.
May perform other duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Design Engineering; Brake experience preferred
Strong organization and communication skills
Pro-E experience, a plus
