Ava & The Bee is seeking a talented and versatile Website Copywriter to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting innovative, high-converting copy across a variety of platforms, including newsletters, blogs, sales pages, landing pages, and lead funnels. You'll work closely with our CEO, marketing team, and web designer to create messaging that authentically reflects each client’s unique personality and brand voice—whether it’s a luxury wedding planner or a destination photographer.
Your role will involve developing clear, compelling website and sales copy, editing and proofreading content for accuracy, and crafting messaging guidelines tailored to individual client needs. Collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail are key as you juggle long-term projects with quick-turnaround deadlines while maintaining a well-organized content library. Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week with potential to grow as workload increases
Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience
Location: Anywhere in the United States – this role is fully remote

Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and the team to translate data-driven strategies into compelling written elements.
- Generate multiple options for creative and innovative copy, which can include newsletters, blog posts, sales pages, nurture sequence funnels, landing pages, lead opt-ins, and front-facing pages.
- Responsible for developing website and sales copy that reflects the individual client's personality, voice, and positioning—whether it’s a luxury wedding planner or a destination photographer.
- Create, copy edit, and proofread copy to ensure accurate spelling, grammar, formatting, and clarity.
- Develop messaging guidelines for clients, including tone of voice and positioning statements.
- Vary language and tone of messages based on product, medium, target audience, and desired consumer behavior.
- Collaborate with our website designer, marketing team, and CEO for the best possible synchronicity.
- Balance ongoing projects with short-term deadlines.
- Keep the content library organized and updated.
- Identify areas of opportunity in social presence on Instagram, blogs, and Pinterest.
- Create and update attention-grabbing captions.
- Optimize and repurpose content copy for higher conversion performance.
Client and Team Interaction
- Work closely with the production team to resolve customer issues and improve the ordering process.
- Attend monthly team meetings and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Engage in continuous learning and adapt to new tools and techniques.
Experience and Skills
- While a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field is great it is not required. We value experience and would love to check out your portfolio!
- Passion for copywriting, language, user experience, creative direction, and conversion storytelling.
- Advanced level writing skills and excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar.
- Knowledge of buyer psychology and conversion.
- Experience with digital writing and crafting SEO-friendly website copy.
- Proficient in both short- and long-form copywriting (must have writing examples to show both forms).
- Experience with high-level female entrepreneurship environment.
- Experience writing in different brand voices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to feedback and client inquiries.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and adapt to new challenges.
