POSITION: Warehouse Worker

Night Shift: Sunday through Thursday (8 pm - 4:30 am)

REPORTING TO: Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To perform warehouse duties (including loading and unloading of product) to ensure the safe, efficient and cleanly maintained operation of the warehouse.

Performs any combination of the following tasks: to receive, store and distribute product within our establishment. Read shipping order, drivers load sheet to determine item to be moved or gathered. Conveys materials and product from receiving to storage or to other designated area by hand, handtruck or electric forklift. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or to predetermined sequence such as different packaging or product code. Marks product with identifying information. Records amount of materials or items received or distributed. Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms. Fills orders or requests for merchandise from stock and places orders on pallets or in appropriate vehicle. May maintain inventory records. Drives an electric industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to move products, equipment or materials in warehouse. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions fork over, under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device.


  • Must be able to safely lift, stack and handle up to 55-pound case of beer frequently.
  • Must be able to safely lift and handle 160 pound ½ barrel of beer.
  • Must be able to push/pull a loaded dolly with loads up to 250 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely operate a glue gun for repacking of product.
  • Must be able to use a broom and mop and be able to drive floor sweeper.
  • Must be able to pass forklift safety test.
  • Must be able to couple and uncouple a trailer from a tractor.
  • Must be able to safely lift an empty pallet weighing approximately 55 lbs.

This is strenuous work requiring standing, sitting, driving, stooping, bending, kneeling, pivot twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling and balancing. Must be able to work outdoors in wet and cold (below freezing) weather.


  • Properly and safely unload incoming trucks. Initiate all necessary paperwork relating to shipments.
  • Properly unload all remaining products from delivery equipment and ensure proper paperwork is completed. Verify the condition and dates of the product returned.
  • Follow proper rotation procedures as established by management. Properly tag all products placed in beer storage. Ensure proper spacing and orderliness or product in storage areas. Have knowledge of all package codes by brewery for easy identification.
  • Follow loading procedures and accurately load route delivery equipment so that the product can be transported and delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Check forklift daily before operating to ensure safe operation. Follow procedures for maintenance checks and battery charging.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean warehouse to include cleaning up spills, sweeping and mopping as needed.
  • Suggest changes that will make the operation run more effectively and reduce the cost of operation.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and conduct oneself in a professional manner that is supportive of management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and secure work area.


  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of the public, company employees and company property.

  • Know and obey all ABC laws governing the beer industry.
