Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
Job Type: Full-Time
Rate: Hourly + 1.5x Overtime *rate is commensurate with experience

General
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will act as liaison between the shop and project managers, engineering, shipping/receiving, etc. to facilitate modular builds of our automation systems. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication and and organizational skills along with technical experience and aptitude with the systems and related components.

Education
- Bachelor degree in engineering preferred
- Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience will be considered
Job Description
The essential job functions for this position are:
- Coordinate with engineering groups and purchasing personnel to ensure all materials have been ordered to meet project schedules.
- Follow-up on late material deliveries with vendors.
- Assist shipping/receiving personnel with incoming deliveries to ensure parts are properly received in the purchasing system database.
- Facilitate the flow of incoming deliveries to shop personnel for modular build activities and/or for shipment to customers.
- Ensure shop has latest release of drawings, drawing redline process is performed, and drawing release packages for site are created and shipped.
- Help resolve material issues during site installation phase of projects.
- Pickup parts from local suppliers as needed.
- Assist shipping/receiving personnel with documenting outgoing shipments.
- Work with shop personnel to procure miscellaneous hardware to facilitate modular builds.
- Occasional travel to customer locations to deliver parts and/or assist with onsite activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates for this position must possess all of the following qualifications:
- Experience integrating FANUC robot systems for automotive assembly plants.
- Familiarity with system components (e.g. e-stops, light curtains, fencing, gates, etc.).
- Knowledge of dispense and paint application equipment.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and resolve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating ABB, Kawasaki, Kuka, and other robot systems.
- Hands-on electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
- Familiar with FANUC Robotics modular build procedures and logistics.
