Full Job Description
The YMCA of South Florida's Weston Family Center is looking for a Membership Sales Lead. The The Membership Sales Lead is responsible for generating opportunities and selling memberships through opportunity management best practices and proven sales methods while providing service excellence. Must be extremely sales focused, understand the importance of generating revenue and has the ability to promote YMCA benefits and services. The sales professional will greet members, prospects, volunteers and staff in a friendly and courteous manner and efficiently addressing their needs and inquiries. This individual will assist the branch in achieving and exceeding monthly sales and retention goals.
Works closely with and follows the direction of the Membership Sales Director to ensure standard delivery of the Association Membership Agenda.
Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with potential members.
Give quality tours to prospective members while maintaining a closing percentage of 70% or higher.
Convert program participants and other nonmembers into members.
Proactively seek new opportunities and strategies to increase leads.
Lead and participate in lead generating activities i.e. outbound calls, external and internal promotional events. Maintain daily call and appointment goals set by Membership Sales Director.
Assist the branch in achieving and exceeding monthly sales and retention goal by following tour and follow-up membership procedures.
Assist in the maintenance and accuracy of member records.
Contribute and implement innovative ideas to improve membership operations.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating special events.
Maintain professional and clean environment in member services areas and throughout the entire center as needed.
Uphold all member services policies and procedures.
Ensure all procedures regarding individual cash transactions are followed according to the standard operating procedures of the YMCA of South Florida.
Participate in Annual Community Campaign.
Adheres to all policies, guidelines, rules, and best practices as outlined by the YMCA of South Florida or directed by supervisor.
College degree preferred, high school graduate or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years of customer service experience required
3 plus years of sales experience required
Minimum of 3 years of outbound call center sales call center experience required
Demonstrated computer knowledge and efficient data entry skills
Able to analyze and problem solve and work independently
Ability to address difficult member situations/conflicts in a professional and courtesy manner.
Ability to multi task and meet deadlines in a fast pace environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and at all socioeconomic levels
Must demonstrate a strong desire to serve others and give back to our community
A professional, goal driven, self-motivated leader with a positive attitude
Have a strong work ethic, punctuality and reliable attendance.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
CPR/AED and First Aid certification required with 30 days of hire
