Software Technical Support Engineer (DBA)
This role will start as 1st shift, but you must be willing to move to 2nd and 3rd shift Work as needed from your home or in Philips office in a 24x7 environment. You will also be included in an on-call rotation.
In this role, you have the opportunity to connect patients, practitioners, and process with innovative technology, you will help radiology and Cardiology departments transform their care practice to improve diagnostics, workflow, patient care and financial outcomes.
You are responsible for:
Working on database installations, configuration, and maintenance and troubleshooting.
Working on Sql Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and knowledge in Sql 2012 versions
Performing routine database backup configurations and recovery
Good experience on Database high availability concepts Replication, Mirroring and knowledge on Log Shipping, Clustering
Good Knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning with usage of in built tools SQL Profiler, DTA, Execution plans
Experience in ITIL process including Change/Release Management
Knowledge of Windows, Network and domain architectures
Knowledge of database scripting and automation technologies
Assist in troubleshooting migrations issues involving the Philips Data Migration Studio
Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development & migration teams
Controlling and monitoring user access to the database and managing security roles.
Work as a team member, integral to the successful implementation of targeted objectives
Document results of customer contacts using HEAT or One EMS tracking systems
Document suggestions for continued improvements to internal systems and products
You are a part of the Intellispace Enterprise Edition Care team you will be joining one of the newest and most agile Care teams at Philips focused on serving our Enterprise Customers. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of relevant experience, degree in Technical or Clinical discipline preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a product support, technical repair or troubleshooting capacity
4+ years' experience using Transact-SQL, SQL Server maintenance, troubleshooting and performance issues related to hardware and software
Windows Server IT & Network troubleshooting experience. VMWare would be an added advantage.
PACS/DICOM experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Knowledge or experience in the following preferred: Medical departmental software applications, RIS/PACS, Patient management, and/or Messaging engine or other interface application
Ability to prioritize and follow through on assigned tasks, with basic Project management Skills; including; Good organization, time management, and writing skills
Great customer relations skills
