SUMMARY:
Reporting to the GM of Mimeo Photos, the PR & Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for generating awareness and telling Mimeo Photos incredible story through earned and owned channels, including PR and social media. In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategies that promote Mimeo Photos products, solutions and thought leadership to key members of the media. This includes everything from writing press releases, pitches, byline articles, and briefing documents, to collaborating with the broader Marketing team on messaging, positioning and strategy. This is a new and exciting role within Mimeo Photos quickly growing Marketing team. The right candidate will have a unique opportunity to build out the PR & communications discipline and strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build out Mimeo Photos in-house media relations program from scratch
Create Mimeo Photos overarching media relations strategy and variations of the strategy for different types of media outlets
Develop and maintain a target list of key journalists across the business, technology, retail, wedding, fashion & apparel, photography, and other media outlets
Cultivate relationships with key journalists and industry influencers
Develop and execute quarterly media programs including pitches and company news and announcements
Source clients for media interviews about their success with Mimeo Photos
Follow industry trends and develop company positions to respond to news and inbound media inquiries
Create and execute a thought leadership platform using created content, speaking slots bylined articles and other mediums to increase Mimeo Photos position as the de facto leader in our space
Create and execute a strategy that increases awareness through social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) that leverages the unique strengths/benefits of each channel
Train and coach Mimeo's leadership team on how to best conduct media interviews for optimal results
Submit Mimeo Photos for relevant industry awards and recognition Requirements

SKILLS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5-7 years of PR / Media relations experience, either in-house at a B2C technology, photography company or at a B2C-focused agency
Great storytelling, writing and presentation skills
Ability to balance strategy with execution. You need to be able to develop the plan and then go do it
Entrepreneurial self-starter who self-direct delivers high-quality work on time
Collaborative team player
Comfort in working with a senior leadership team
