Greystones is seeking a Mainframe Programmer II to support a program creating large-scale analytic computing technologies to improve business processes in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Mainframe Programmer will assist in combining disparate, multi-structures, and distributed datasets to enable predicting future behaviors with treatment strategies, smart workload plans and targeted outreach. Additionally, they will be creating new capabilities in data-driven innovation and migrating future risks of Assembly Language programming.
Remote position with occasional travel to sites in Washington D.C. and Martinsburg, WV.
Salary $90-125k
Major Duties/Tasks:
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system.
- Maintain and develop online and batch applications.
- Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan.
- Utilize instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
- Provide insights in a collaborative manner to team members, immediate supervisors, and stakeholders.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field plus 2-4 years? experience,
- 2+ years working in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Assembly Language or Java as a programming language.
- Knowledge of encoding, testing, debugging and installing a large-scale mainframe computer system.
- Previous relevant experience working within weekly, monthly quarterly, or ad-hoc timetables.
- Active Secret Clearance.
