We are seeking individuals to support a federal agency’s Video Telecommunications (VTC), Webex Teams and Moderator service. Support may include: Unified Communications Integrations, audio/video conferencing administration, operation, engineering solutions, maintenance.

You are applying to the position of a Voice Solutions Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland.

The VTC System Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with all necessary organizations to satisfy every VTC user request for multipoint, point-to-point, secure, and non-secure VTC conferences.


Supervise the installation, operation and maintenance of endpoints including portable systems and software-based Cisco Movi/Jabber, & SFB clients.
Oversee maintenance actions including inspections, service contracts, and upgrades.
Perform visual inspections and daily before every use.
Support monthly communication checks.
Review and validate logs of all open tickets related to the VTC network daily.
Configuring dial plans and associated call policies in the VCS control, expressway or DMA servers. Provide user training for call planning, scheduling process, and system controls and operations.
Ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the VTC equipment meet the needs of the users, without exceeding the budget.
Schedule and complete work to be performed after hours as needed and/or required for updates
Acquire, install, or upgrade VTC components and software, automate routine tasks, write computer programs, troubleshoot issues, train and/or supervise staff; and provide technical support.
The Voice Solutions Engineer will perform the following duties in addition to tasks specifically related to engineering of the VTC, SFB and WebEx systems which will include but not be limited to: Strong knowledge and the ability to demonstrate experience trouble-shooting, integrating and testing VTC Codecs, Audio Mixers, Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) Systems, Video Communications Server/Manager, Cisco/Lifesize/Polycom Codecs, Telepresence systems, Firewall Traversal, Border Controller, IPVTC/VOIP, AV automation, wiring, amplifiers, microphones, video cameras, and other equipment, that integrates into the VTC design.


Strong business communication skills with strong verbal communications to interface effectively, strong customer service and must be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests, and troubleshoot solutions of highly complex operational problems while being detailed oriented and organized, to understand UC/VTC systems, ensure accuracy of work while being able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems operations.
