Office Administration Specialist (Contract) – Urbandale, Iowa

This role is to fill the front desk of our corporate office. The employee will perform receptionist duties, which may include greeting and directing visitors, helping with HR related tasks, distributing mail, and scheduling meetings, booking travel and interviews. This contract position is intended to last up to 6 months and has potential to extend further.
The main focus of this role includes:
Greets visitors, informs employees of the visitor's arrival, and directs visitors to appropriate waiting area.
Works closely with HR Team to do HR related tasks.
Books candidate travel for Recruitment team.
Helps with payroll related tasks.
Collects and distributes mail. Schedules meetings or interviews, and arranges for conference rooms or makes other logistical arrangements as required.
Helps with mail shipments from Amazon, UPS and other venders.
Works closely with marketing to send out employee and customer swag.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
Performs work under supervision.
Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
High school diploma and/ or 2 years of experience in a professional office setting is a huge plus.
Experience within an HR department preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Great oral and written communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work in the office 8AM - 5PM Monday- Friday.
Ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be open to contract work (6 mouths plus).
