POSITION SUMMARY
As an EHSQ (Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality) Specialist for Compressor System Supply, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our compressor systems are designed, supplied, and maintained in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. You will be responsible for developing and implementing EHSQ policies and procedures specific to compressor systems, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
To fulfill the requirements of the position, the incumbent must develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with UCA leadership, Engineering and Technology Manager, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Engineering & Technology, Operations & Safety, Procurement, Commercial Team, Customers, Suppliers, Service Providers and Contractors.
The major challenge of the position is to achieve success through working with a diverse team, delivering on environmental, health, safety, and quality goals, while maintaining a close working relationship with vendors, contractors and customers, and ensuring customer delight from first contact project commissioning.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all compressor system supply activities adhere to local, state, and federal environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations. Stay up to date with EHSQ regulations and industry standards related to compressor systems.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments, site audits/inspections, and hazard analyses related to compressor system operations and supply chain. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and emergency response plans.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of compressor systems and components to ensure they meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Implement and oversee quality control processes and conduct regular inspections. Install supplier and Key Partner report cards and audit/inspection regimens to ensure upstream and downstream supply chain quality.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver EHSQ training programs for employees involved in the compressor system supply chain. Promote a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report on incidents and near misses related to compressor systems. Develop corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive EHSQ documentation, including policies, procedures, and records. Prepare and present regular EHSQ reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- EHSQ Policy: Be responsible for the refinement of the company's quality policy and manual and for developing it to the next level for eventual ISO9001 and ISO 45001 certification, including the development and implementation of both and internal and external audit programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure EHSQ requirements are integrated throughout the compressor system supply chain. Engage with regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in EHSQ management, preferably in a technical, industrial, or heavy equipment manufacturing application.
- Strong knowledge of EHSQ regulations and standards specific to compressor systems. ISO certification experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in EHSQ (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), and current OSHA 30 training are a plus.
- Occasional travel to supplier and Key Partner facilities, job sites, or regulatory agencies will be required.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including industrial and office settings.
