The Senior Copywriter will develop copy in support of Bath & Body Works’ strategic objectives for our website, email, paid social and external digital marketing channels.

In crafting copy, she or he will work with the Copy Manager, as well as the Creative, Marketing and Merchandising teams to:
  • Improve Bath & Body Works’ overall customer experience
  • Evolve the brand voice
  • Create dynamic editorial content to support marketing objectives, while ensuring that storytelling reflects current trends in the marketplace
  • Participate in creative concepting and contribute compelling and innovative ideas
  • Deliver accurate and concise copy that meets both creative and strategic objectives
  • Write compelling, consumer-focused copy while adhering to brand standards
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Copy Manager, Copywriters, Art Directors and Designers, as well as other members of the Marketing and Merchandising teams
  • Partner with Marketing teams to align campaign objectives and goals
  • Partner with the Strategy team on brand objectives
  • Deliverables can include: headlines, taglines, subject lines, evergreen SEO content, conceptual brand efficacy storytelling, as well as crafting promotional copy for site and email assets
  • Follow creative briefs
  • Proofread copy
  • Excellent writing skills with an outstanding portfolio dedicated to concise, short form copy
  • Knowledge of best practices for digital content with a focus on retail marketing
  • A strong understanding of the rapidly evolving digital retail marketplace
  • Exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking with excellent execution
  • Ability to articulate ideas, concepts and visual direction
  • Must be self-motivated and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • Ability to follow copy and brand guidelines
  • Adept at working both independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing or Journalism or experience in an equivalent creative field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in copywriting
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in UX/UI copywriting
  • Retail fashion or retail beauty experience preferred
  • Proficient in using a Mac
  • Basic proficiency in Google Docs and Excel spreadsheets
  • Portfolio of writing samples with short form copy required
