Bellingham Urology Group (BUG) is an established urology practice based in Bellingham, WA with a rich legacy and a large, dedicated patient base. Our practice is currently undergoing a dynamic transition with the upcoming retirement of one of our seasoned urologists, making way for the next generation of medical talent to continue our tradition of excellent patient care. We are fully physician owned, with facilities that include a large office, an in-house ambulatory surgery center, and a satellite office in nearby Mount Vernon, WA.
As a part of our team, you will be working alongside a highly skilled, board-certified general urologist who is passionate about transforming and growing the practice. Our practice prides itself on utilizing the latest in medical technology and methodology, evident in our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center attached to the clinic. This facility allows us to provide a comprehensive suite of urological procedures, enabling us to offer the highest level of care without the need for external referrals.
Just a short distance away, St. Joseph's Hospital further extends our capabilities. With two DaVinci Xi robotic surgical systems on site, the hospital is ideally equipped to support a urologist with robotic training.

Bellingham Urology Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urologist to join our team. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to practice in a state-of-the-art environment, equipped with cutting-edge facilities including our ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and access to DaVinci Xi robotic surgical systems at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, treat, and manage general urological conditions in male and female patients, offering a broad spectrum of urology services.
2. Perform surgeries and procedures in our in-house ASC, including expertise in performing robotic surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital nearby.
3. Work closely with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including physician assistants and advanced registered nurse practitioners, to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
4. Stay informed about advancements and best practices in the field of Urology, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care.
5. Take part in clinic and hospital duties, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
6. Demonstrate a strong interest in long-term practice development, with potential aspirations to become a partner in the practice.
Qualifications:
1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
2. Board certified or eligible in Urology.
3. A valid medical license in the state of Washington or eligibility for licensure.
4. Demonstrated competence in surgical skills, diagnosis, and treatment within the field of Urology.
5. Excellent communication and patient management skills.
