The Business Systems Analyst will be a key member of the Student Information Systems group in Enterprise Systems. This individual will work very closely with the business units (specifically Registrar’s Office, Academic units, Financial Aid Office, and Student Accounts Office and Campus Life) and developers, to assess current capabilities and understand how to design effective processes through the use of technology. This individual will be involved in all phases of project management and application development, and will collaborate with developers to make sure the applications meet desired business outcomes.
The Business Systems Analyst position will report to the Lead Student Systems Analyst within the Student Information Systems team.
The individual in this role will work with a broad group across campus and a broad group within OIT to facilitate implementation of key business processes.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Three years of relevant systems analyst or project management experience.
Knowledge of database concepts, project management, requirements analysis, business process management and system troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in a functional support role for ERP implementations
Preferred Education and Experience
One+ years of Ellucian’s Colleague ERP experience
PMP or Prince2 Certification
Experience with web tools and SQL
2+ years of experience at a university or college
Experience working in student services related processes (registrar’s office, academic units, financial aid office, and student accounts office)
Working knowledge of requirements management and project management
Working knowledge of relational databases
Effective customer service skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals
Ability to sufficiently understand and analyze data to recognize data anomalies and problems and suggest corrective actions
Ability to develop, train, and mentor peers
