Environmental / Working Conditions

This position is subject to inside environmental conditions. The position requires occasionally working in confined spaces. Occupational risk to blood born pathogens is minimal.

Job Description

Responsible for the filing and storing of all radiographs, film file jackets, and reports. Assist physicians and residents in locating films. Distribute films to the Radiologists for interpretation.

Physical Capabilities

Must be emotionally and physically fit. The atmosphere is at times stressful with many emotional demands. Work requires frequent standing, walking, and bending. It also requires frequent reaching, lifting and transporting of patient jackets.Must be able to reach high shelves or bend to lower shelves. Must possess near visual acuity for reading computer screens and printed material.

Skills and Abilities

Some computer knowledge is helpful. Must be able to learn terminal digit filing system. Must be able to work without supervision, and use logic and deductive reasoning. Telephone skills and etiquette necessary.
