What You Will Do:
The Digestive Disease Center (DDC) is a state-of-the-art facility developed for the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. The facility, which offers a full range of procedures, is staffed by physicians and nursing personnel with special interest and training in this specialty. Minor procedures, requiring only local anesthetic, are also performed in this area. The unit offers diagnostic and therapeutic treatment to both inpatients and outpatients. Personnel are on-call for emergencies from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. weekdays and 24 hours on the weekends. The following procedures are offered: Anorectal Manometry Bronchoscopy Colonoscopy Cholangiopancreatoscopy utilizing Spyglass technology Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Hydrogen Breath Test Paracentesis Gastrostomy Tube Placement Bile Duct Stenting/Stone Removal Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Endoscopic Stent Placement Botox Injection for Anal Fissures Esophageal Dilatation Esophageal Manometry pH Monitoring Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Liver Biopsy Proctoscopy Peritoneoscopy Rectal Ultrasound Hemorrhoid Banding Transesophageal Echocardiograms
What You Need to Be Successful:
- 2 years experience in GI
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
