Research Assistant

Part-time$27 an hour
The bilingual research assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative and research tasks, including: processing subject remuneration, scheduling qualitative interviews, assisting with mailings, recruitment and follow-up telephone calls, data entry and cleaning, ordering and maintaining supplies, etc. He/she will also assist with translating study documents, medical record reviews, and coding qualitative interviews.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.

Bilingual in Spanish.
Excellent computer skills, writing ability, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with faculty and staff, researchers at other institutions, and research participants.

Special Instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with human subject's research involving the enrollment and recruitment of research participants. Interest in neurology, medical ethics, epidemiology, public health, and/or psychology. Familiarity with genetic research and/or clinical aspects of epilepsy a plus.
