We are a rapidly-growing essential business services company providing a one-stop solution for all back-office (Financial Operations, People Operations, Risk) needs for Startups and SMB’s. This position allows candidates to develop and run their own practices with overall client management and P&L responsibilities.

  • Preparation and review of timely and accurate, client-specific management reporting packages and Board packages
  • Monthly analysis of business results, finance and operating metrics
  • Working closely with the clients and back office team to help clients improve reporting, and new processes and procedures that scale with their growth plans
  • Work closely with other service lines to deliver a true one-stop experience to clients across Financial Operations, People Operations and Risk
  • Assessing current client processes for efficiency and adequate controls and proposing, documenting, and implementing process improvements
  • Working with client staff and fellow consultants on various cross-departmental projects
  • Preparation of schedules for tax accountants, involvement in due diligence, and other projects, as needed
  • Experience working with C-Level management and comfort presenting to a client’s Board
  • Ability to work in the day-to-day financials details, as well as analyze the business from a high-level
  • Manage the portfolio of clients like a business with P&L responsibilities for the entire suite of services delivered to the client


The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-client dynamic environment and has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in accounting, finance, management or a related field)
  • Active CPA certification a plus
  • 8+ years of relevant Controller level experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks and ERP accounting system applications
  • Early stage and public company experience preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently at multiple client sites, as well as remotely
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great teamwork attitude
  • Ability to work with multiple team-members on various clients simultaneously, and also pitch in as an individual contributor, when needed
  • Ability to think and act as an entrepreneur and run their clients like a mini practice and as a P&L
