Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide substance abuse counseling, support services, and treatment planning to individuals seeking recovery from addiction. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments to determine clients' substance use history and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the treatment team.
- Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices for substance use disorders with a caseload of up to 35 patients.
- Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Maintain ongoing contact with referral sources.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the practice of substance abuse counseling.
Qualifications:
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) status in NJ.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for addiction treatment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in substance abuse counseling.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
