This position is part of the US International Development Finance Corporation, Office of Development Credit. The Director, Client Development, is the primary manager of incoming funding requests and inquiries to ODC.
Advises senior representatives of U.S. and international firms on the eligibility requirements for loan, guaranty, and equity programs for international emerging markets investment finance.
Analyzes and evaluates project business plans, marketing plans, financial statements, financial plans, and other business and project documentation for investment finance in international emerging markets.
Manages a pipeline of prospective investment financing applicants in international emerging markets.
Establishes and maintains meaningful working relationships with internationally-focused business membership organizations, with an emphasis on those with a mission to support women-owned or diaspora-owned businesses.
Develops and maintains resource guides, checklists, and presentation materials designed to improve the clarity of financial products and processes for external audiences.
25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.

For the GS-13: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience developing a strategy for, and managing, client development functions for international emerging markets project finance for an organization; AND experience identifying and managing relationships with international business associations, industry groups, and/or regional chambers of commerce focusing on organizational priorities; AND experience independently determining whether international emerging markets investment projects are feasible, creditworthy and appropriate for support based on applicable policies, procedures, goals and objectives; AND experience in multiple impact sectors (e.g., health, education, agriculture, water and sanitation, etc.) at a commercial bank, investment bank, international financial institution, or multilateral organization..

The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 TeleworkAct.
