Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking Cyber Security Analysts' to provide support to Edgewater Federal government contracts. 50-75% travel as required based on location. Special circumstances, i.e. COVID-19 will prohibit travel, however on return to normal operations, travel will resume.
Travel to customer site to support ISSM/ISSO's
Provide vulnerability management and mitigation strategies of systems/devices
Assess, plan, and enact security measures to help protect an organization from security breaches and attacks on its computer networks and systems.
Monitor computer networks and systems logs for security issues.
Develop processes and standards
Prepare reports on analysis and make recommendations based on best security practices
Submit and/or update/close POAMS as directed by the ISSM
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Monitor data flow between networks and systems
Utilize helpdesk ticketing system and configuration management tools to track remediation work
Work with Systems and Network Operations teams for vulnerability mitigation.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and their data.
US Citizen and ability to obtain a public trust credential
Working knowledge of technologies such as Windows and Linux Operating Systems; database security; active directory; service-oriented architectures; vulnerability and penetration testing; networking protocols and topologies; security architectures; and incident management.
Experience with virtual server technologies
Demonstrated ability to analyze, recommend and apply technology solutions to meet the security control requirements.
Skills in technical writing, verbal communication, organization, problem analysis, and resolution.
Broad knowledge of IT Security best practices, fundamental computer science concepts, computer security concepts, and networking.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Cyber Security or Information Assurance or similar degree.
Experience with FISMA regulations, NIST special publications, FIPS publications, and OMB circular A-130 regulations.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
