Essential Functions:
Develop a deep understanding of markets, customers, products, and competitors to provide analytical support to Sales / Marketing & Executive leadership
Perform analysis of Sales and margin trends at a product and customer level and develop an opinion to be shared with marketing & product line leaders
Evaluate sales and margin trends working collaboratively with marketing and sales on the development of action plans to improve results and achieve goals
Develop & prepare weekly analysis to business leadership which outlines sales progress towards monthly and quarterly objectives on top line and margin.
Prepare and present a weekly update to the North American leadership outlining performance metrics. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management to consolidate business actions underway to assure attainment of commitments.
Download, analyze and report on freight costs identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce transportation costs related to expediting, supply chain practices, and market demands
Work with Marketing to evaluate pricing practices and their impact on sales / profitability
Prepare & present forward-looking metrics centered around quote and order intake activities to be utilized in predictive models
Work with Marketing to develop and present forecasts of sales and margin in accordance with budgeting and forecasting activities
Work collaboratively with business partners to evaluate and present business case for new opportunities
Evaluate the utilization of collateral materials in the field (demo’s) to understand and measure efficiency of use, recommending changes to placement / ownership that allows for optimized revenue / profit growth
Develop and maintain customer profitability statements considering Gross to Net Sales, Contribution Margin & variable costs including freight, commission, warranty, etc.
Ad Hoc project support as required

Required Skills

Required Experience

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Experience modeling “big-data” and drawing conclusions for action
Working knowledge of ERP systems; demonstrated ability to manage the use of technology to improve performance and efficiency within the business
Advanced Microsoft Excel user
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with Cognos preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Participative management style - advocates team concept.
