Delivering technology for a changing world calls for a flexible workforce. Our Resource Deployment Manager team within Professional Services coordinates, plans and schedules the requisite number of global professional services employees for client engagement projects within a defined geography or practice. Working with other Resource Managers to source and share additional resources, we collaborate in the development of processes and systems to track, identify, task and plan resources for project work.
Stays abreast of current industry trends, new technology, and company solutions through internal and external professional associations, networking, classes, and conferences Develops and cultivates strong internal customer relationships with Sales and Services organization Maintains a current information source of resource skill sets, availability, schedules, and delivery restrictions to assist in rapid identification and fulfillment of resources Achieves a high degree of familiarity with and knowledge of field/headquarters policies and procedures
Builds and maintains relationships with Management to receive and provide timely information that is needed for handing resource requirements in an efficient manner Works with Management to assign delivery resources to projects in assigned geography in a cost effective and efficient manner, assigns resources for highly critical customer engagement projects that span countries and/or geographies Handles resource requests for complex escalations Supports management team in achieving utilization goal by fulfilling delivery project resource requirements while adhering to internal and partner utilization forecasts Maintains a current information source of area/practice resource skillsets, available to management May assist recruiters in pairing current staff with candidates for interviews or technical screens, and participate in interviews; is given discretion on selection process Has broad and detailed knowledge of functional product lines, third-party products and most data center-related technologies Is expected to be able to discuss with management and customer teams, the inter-connectivity between technologies for complex solutions; develops and manages the tactical and strategic resource plan for an offering or service line Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management report Is required to develop and share creative approach to solutions by using reporting data and knowledge of the business Can anticipate change and demonstrates flexibility to make adjustments without impact to the business
