The Systems Engineer role will provide sustaining technical ownership and customer interface support of factory automation and engineering test data systems. This role will partner with the Big Data group team in the analysis, design, development, integration and testing of new systems and be the point of contact for end-to-end production support of engineering and operations application needs of varying technologies and complexities. This role involves working closely with partners in factory operations and product & test engineering to provide innovative solutions to the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing.
Executes on the creation and enhancement of new & existing software and scripting in response to defined business priorities
Demonstrates effective analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Strong systems skills, adept at SQL, Python and/or Java scripting, and data visualization
Business Intelligence and Visualization tools, e.g.: Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire, MSPowerBI, etc
Knowledge of system architecture and operating system concepts.is a plus
Experience interfacing with MES systems such as Eyelit, Promis, Workstream
Familiarity with SECS/GEM protocol or tool automation, Workstream, VMS
Experience in semiconductor-related work in Engineering
Incorporates best practices in project management, software development, and system sustainability in day-to-day decision making
Understands how to apply software engineering, information systems, and life cycle management principles to the business needs of the organization
Monitors application stability, performance, and availability - promptly confronting, escalating, and resolving issues as they arise
Coordinates the deployment & integration of applications with local, global and vendor teams
5+ years of experience of Systems Engineering or similar role
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computing, or related field with Masters degree a plus
Must have the ability to identify technology needs, formulate corresponding solutions, and utilize systematic methods/processes to further continuous improvement
Communicate (both written and verbally) with co-workers at all levels (individual contributors and managers) and locations (locally onsite and remotely offsite)
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with peers, cross-functional team members, internal customers, and external vendors
Demonstrates ability and willingness to interface effectively with a variety of personalities
Works with stakeholders to identify needs, evaluate alternative business opportunities and strategies, and ultimately increase their level of satisfaction
Demonstrates ability to independently and effectively organize, manage, and complete multiple assignments with challenging timelines, accurately and on time
