Job Summary: Solerro is seeking a highly skilled Solar Financial Controller with a robust background in solar, finance, or accounting, and proven financial modeling skills. The ideal candidate will oversee all finance departments, ensuring that our financial operations align with our strategic goals. This role requires close collaboration with the executive team and operational departments to maintain financial health and drive efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight and Management:
- Oversee all finance departments, including budgeting, accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis:
- Develop and refine financial models to forecast business performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Work closely with the executive team to align financial strategy with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Department Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Accounting department to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work with other departments to integrate financial management with operational activities.
- Financial Health and Optimization:
- Implement financial controls and systems to monitor and improve financial performance.
- Ensure that Solerro remains financially sound and operationally effective through careful monitoring and management of resources.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Promote cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications within finance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
- Proven ability to manage finance departments and collaborate with executive teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
