That is why we need you to join us in our newly created role as New Customer Business Development Manager covering the southeast USA where you may be based in Atlanta, or Charlotte, or the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan areas.

The role is a newly established role with us, and you will be part of a small dedicated team with each member covering a different area in the US region. You will report directly to our Regional Sales Director for Americas, Stu Shepherd.

Furthermore, you will be part of a bigger regional team consisting of professional sales and technical support colleagues. The team members balance working independently and in close collaboration with Distribution, Systems Integration, and OEM Partners, assuring we reach our common goals together.

Support our aggressive sales target

As part of the US Regional Sales Team, you will aggressively drive new customer acquisition through outreach to prospects not already in our pipeline. The primary responsibility in your role is to hunt for new opportunities based on a targeted strategy of potential prospects in your territory. You develop and maintain your strategy in conjunction with your manager and marketing, but you have ownership of the implementation and realization.

Some of the tasks we expect will fill up your calendar are:
Develop new leads through building awareness with local end-user buyers
Qualify leads by identifying end-customer’s and offering UR Cobot-based solutions
Manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities, forecast, and close sales in coordination with UR’s Partner Network
Use UR’s sales tools (e.g. Demo Cobot, CRM, installed-base case studies and videos, proven ROI) and sales process methodology to effectively manage customer and opportunity data
Gather competitive intelligence in the marketplace and communicate to UR’s Sales and Product Management
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

Ideally you come with a Bachelors/Masters’ Degree in Business or Engineering combined with a minimum of 5-years sales experience within technology or capital equipment solution sales for assembly, machine tending, inspection, packaging, and/or palletizing.

In addition, you come with:
Excellent communication and strong relationship building skills – wanting to meet new customers
Experience with structured sales, budgets, pipeline management and a disciplined behavior
Experience in setting own goals, self-monitoring key metrics and holding yourself accountable
A tremendous drive, passion and energy to seek out new sales
Experience in selling or integrating robotic components, sensors, and accessories as part of larger projects or solution
Previous distribution sales experience a plus
Most importantly you are a self-starter by nature, you love selling, and as a person you have ambition, sense of urgency, confidence, perseverance, and the ability to influence others.
