Part-Time Diversity Recruitment Coordinator, Rush University College of Health Sciences

Rush University's College of Health Sciences presents an exciting opportunity for a Diversity Recruitment Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Admissions, the Diversity Recruitment Coordinator participates in outreach, recruitment, advising, and admission activities with the purpose of meeting diversity enrollment goals. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborates in the development of a yearly recruitment plan to meet college recruitment objectives.
Develops and implements online and offline recruitment tactics appropriate to targeted enrollments and diversity goals.
Tracks target enrollments and composition of current student body to measure alignment with college goals.
Develops and maintains relationships with prospective and current students.
Coordinates prospect/applicant diversity activities with the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Maintains and expands affiliate college relationships.
Represents the college at recruitment events including school visits, information sessions, graduate and professional fairs, local, state, and national conferences, and presentations to students and academic advisors at other institutions.
Assists in the annual planning of recruitment activities.
Functions in a public relations role by meeting prospective applicants in a friendly, outgoing, and professional manner.
Assists in the development of recruitment materials, presentation packets, and handouts.
Maintains knowledge of recruitment trends and information by participating in professional organizations, attending seminars, and reading professional journals and articles.
Generates innovations to improve current procedures with regards to recruitment and marketing.
Assists in the development and maintenance of an evaluation mechanism for admissions services, identifies areas for improvement, and collaborates in efforts to enhance the application experience.

Position Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience in an academic department or program is preferred.
Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent knowledge of social media and current educational marketing trends.
Knowledge of health professions preferred.
Knowledge of photo imaging preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.
Ability to learn new skills as needed, especially to work with new technologies that become available.
Ability to manage recruitment materials for off-campus events.
Ability to periodically travel overnight and out of state.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Reliable transportation for regional travel.
