Position Summary:
Join our team at TEiC as an Electrical Project Manager, where you will serve as the on-site electrical project leader for designated projects. Reporting to the Electrical Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of electrical projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining customer relationships, preparing estimates and proposals, and providing comprehensive project leadership.
Essential Responsibilities: • Enforce company safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment on project sites.
- Provide safety training and guidance to on-site personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.
- Utilize Accubid and estimating templates to prepare estimates; review, approve, and facilitate the transition of estimates to proposals.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
- Oversee on-site electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
- Review electrical designs and plans to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and address concerns.
- Prepare and present project progress reports, highlighting achievements, risks, and deviations from the plan.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project logs.
- Travel to project sites to oversee work, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with plans.
- Support teams across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in project execution.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to benefit short and long-term strategies.
- Prepare and implement contingency plans to handle unforeseen issues or delays.
- Ensure proper handover of completed projects to clients, including final inspections and documentation.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Build relationships with customers based on sales strategy; partner with sales staff and representatives on sales strategy.
- Must be willing to take and pass or transfer state Electrical Licensure Exams.
- Lead internal and external review of projects from sales identification through project closeout.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Sound understanding of project controls and risk management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and statistical analysis skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, business acumen, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Master Electrician preferred.
- 10 years industrial electrical experience, project management, or related experience. Power plant experience preferred.
The base pay range for this role is $50-53 per hour.
