The Integration Analyst reports directly to the IT&S Director and is responsible for the architecture, development, implementation, and production support for EHR integration as well as implementation, and testing various system applications interfacing into the Ambulatory EHR and Practice Management systems. With strong technical expertise, the integration analysts serves as the integration champion across applications and interfaces providing system, process, and problem resolution expertise. This role demonstrates proficiency in understanding the application functionality, reporting capability, interfacing and integration associated with clinical applications. Plans, oversees and validates the integration of clinical information application analysis, build and testing processes with other clinical and non-clinical applications. Work ranges from conceptual and strategic to tactical and includes integrating current architectures and initiatives. Additional duties include but are not limited to testing and implementing various applications interfacing into the Ambulatory EHR and Practice Management systems such as patient registrations, hospital laboratory results, radiology, emergency room documents, cardiology and hospital documents, as well as outside laboratories like Quest and LabCorp.
Develop testing plans and procedures for various levels of integration requirements and manage the test plans thru completion.
Execute formal system tests and report on issues and discrepancies. Escalate to management for high priority items.
Communicate with stakeholders such as systems engineers, test engineers, product team members, external contractors, project members, and customers concerning test plans, test procedures, and operational system issues.
Run daily reports as needed to validate data is posting correctly.
Review system unmatched patient queue daily to match patients with the interfaced data.
Continually work to improve patient duplicates in all systems and test the EMPI matching logic as needed.
Responsible to ensure all new providers are added to the applicable systems that the all tests are interfacing in and routing to the physician’s EHR inbox, when applicable.
Participates in system upgrade planning, preparation and testing
Manage the interface roadmap and communicate updates on interfaces to all applicable parties.
Manage other projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or Previous EHR experience required
Certification in Project Management Preferred
Experienced in integrating various Healthcare entities including Hospitals, Labs, Radiology, Foreign EHR system migration and other systems utilizing emerging interoperability Health IT standards and methodologies
Well versed in EMPI, Vocabularies (ICD9 to ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, CVX, CPT), EHR systems (e.g. Cerner, e-clinical Works, Epic, Allscripts) and foreign system integration
Experienced in Health IT standards for HL7
Familiar with Laboratory Result Interface
Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience.
Minimum of 1 year of Architect experience with Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
2 years of hands-on experience as a clinical application analyst within an information services department of a multi-entity acute care health system.
Demonstrated experience in structured enterprise architecture, including definition of standards and guidelines for application design, implementation and ongoing support across a broad spectrum.
