Graduation from high school or equivalent or any combination of education and experience that provides the following:
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Library organization and procedures;
Variety of books and library materials.
Charge and discharge materials, assess and collect fines/fees, and perform similar tasks related to the circulation function;
Promote library services and public relations and to sort and shelve library materials;
Use a computer, telephone, cash register, book carts, and sensitizing machine.
Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds;
Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds;
Push and pull object in order to shelve materials and push the book cart;
Frequently climb step ladders or stairs;
Frequently twist, bend, kneel and crouch in order to shelve books;
Continuously reach above, at and below shoulder height.
