A Fort Lauderdale mid-sized well-established group of Real Estate Developer, Property Management Companies, and a Commercial General Contractor, are seeking a dynamic, motivated, positive, and qualified individual to join our great team as a Property Staff Accountant for their headquarters. This individual would assist our accounting department in many different functions including but not limited to Bank and Cashflow Reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities analysis.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting who is looking for a longtime career and has a minimum five-year experience working in the property management and/or construction accounting field. Following are some of the duties and experience required for the position;

  • Bank reconciliations preparation and recording of treasury cash flow daily activities.
  • Accounts payable duties and Account Receivable deposits processing.
  • Assisting senior accountant with preparation of monthly financial statements including monthly supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconciling monthly general ledger accounts, research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Providing support for yearly budget preparation, year-end audit, and tax return review process.
  • Working on special projects, as required.
  • Preparing sales tax calculations and reporting.
  • Experience in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate/Timberline and/or Sage Paperless Construction software would be a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills along with Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat XI Standard applications experience is necessary.
  • Operating a scanner for bank deposit processing along with ACH’s or EFT’s processing experience would be a plus.
  • Strong organization and time management skills are required. Furthermore, the ability to work independently and take initiative is important to work with our team and organization. This job is deadline oriented.
