Overview
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining material handling equipment and ensuring that they are in proper working order and in safe operating condition. This individual will work with the onsite facility personnel to address any mechanical issues that should arise and take proper action to diagnose and/or fix the problem. The individual will be responsible for maintaining inventory of spares parts and logging the usage of the parts. They will be responsible for notifying the purchasing manager of parts that need replaced. The individual will be responsible for keeping tools, supplies and work area clean and organized. They will follow all OSHA, state and local compliance laws including proper lock/out tag/out procedures.

Responsibilities
Repair and diagnose equipment as the need arises
Design and reconfigure existing systems as necessary
Assist and contribute in all aspects of projects including the design, install and acceptance
Emergency repairs, including diagnosis and dispatching of the appropriate vendors, as necessary
Issue PO’s as necessary, research and locate replacement parts
Work with vendors and develop good working relationships
Perform all necessary preventative maintenance on time
Record keeping of all maintenance performed
Maintain spare parts inventory

Qualifications
4-5 years of material handling maintenance experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to lead, motivate and mentor workforce
Able to use and be certified on dock equipment (forklifts, reach picks, order pickers, pallet jacks)
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Be able to understand blueprints and designs
Working knowledge of AutoStore is a plus
