Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Full and part time positions available.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Assist individuals in daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols
- Promote independence and community integration for individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any changes in behavior or health status
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for individuals to thrive
Requirements:
- Knowledge of systems and protocols related to providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Experience or education in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of advocacy
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist individuals with mobility or transfers
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred
- Previous experience in childcare, autism support, or similar roles is a plus
