Responsible for providing support for Alliant’s comprehensive healthcare data analytics systems, including interpreting and summarizing complex clinical data to help facilitate evaluation of current initiatives and recommended future health interventions and benefit design changes. Responsible for conveying complex concepts and strategies, on clinically technical and non-technical levels; both orally, and in writing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports connectivity of cross-functional workgroups, including but not limited to: Health & Productivity, Clinical, Informatics, Data/Analytics, Pharmacy and Client Services.
Organizes, analyzes, interprets data across service lines/initiatives (medical, pharmacy, dental, wellness, onsite clinic, disability, etc.) through a clinical lens to identify opportunities that meet the needs of Alliant and its clients, including areas of opportunity focused on reducing waste, improving outcomes, and managing population health.
Provides consultative support to the client team and facilitates client discussions regarding managed care and quality metrics to support consulting team and client discussions.
Provides insight into a client’s benefits trend, including the review of claims data, trend analysis, benchmark/baseline, progression/regression, and procures new ideas to support Alliant’s recommendations for the client.
Aids in presentation preparation/delivery to explain data to internal and external (client) stakeholders, with a focus on meaningful, strategic discussions (within limits of defined scope).
Identifies Alliant client book of business healthcare and population health trends, and supports creation of client and prospect collateral.
Acts as a clinical subject matter expert, supporting National Employee Benefit functions, including but not limited to, internal training and job aid development
Prioritizes and manages requests of multiple regional offices, with report out to National Employee Benefits team specific to macro-trends and opportunities
Ensure rigorous compliance with all relevant local, state and national regulations as they pertain to benefit and program design recommendations.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a health related field desired, particularly public health, nursing, registered dietician, health administration or equivalent combination of education and experience, or Licensed Practical/Registered Nurse certification, in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree acceptable
Five (5) or more years of combined clinical Registered Nurse/Registered Dietician and industry related experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of direct health informatics experience preferred
Experience with Johns’ Hopkins University’s ACG system and/or employer-focused data warehouse preferred
Experience with insurance, employee benefits, and/or health & wellness vendor space preferred
Experience with data aggregation, specifically clinical data preferred
Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy, HIPAA Security and HIPAA HITECH compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communications skills
Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to manipulate data in many formats to draw clinical conclusions
Ability to work independently with little to moderate supervision
