The Manager, Digital Content will be responsible for social media and digital marketing initiatives for MSGE Live. This social media specialist must have superb written skills, an impeccable attention to detail and must have the ability to craft social voice for all MSG venues that is authentic, elevated and relatable. The candidate must also have digital marketing skills and is able to create innovative, impactful, brand-elevating content including, but not limited to images and video. While the Digital Content Manager is fluent in all social channels, this candidate has a deep working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram/Stories, and YouTube. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to the Digital Content Manger’s success. An essential component will be to communicate the Company’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected ticket buyers. They will collaborate with internal team members to execute a cohesive and engaging social media strategy across all MSG venues and properties.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
Execute MSG Live (Madison Square Garden, The Beacon Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, Hulu Theater, venue tours, family shows, etc.) digital and social media content across all MSG owned digital platforms and channels.
Maintain social editorial calendars including: scheduling, copy creation, maintainance, posting, etc.
Develop and contribute innovative social media strategies and content.
Measure results through effective reporting to continually evaluate effectiveness of social strategies; develop actionable insights to evolve engagement.
Agressively monitor direct competitors with research, best practices, and emerging technology/new tools.
Identify content opportunities cross-brand (MSG Sports, Venues, Partnerships, Rockettes, etc.) and outreach to social influencers.
Interface with record labels, publicists, photo services, artist management to identify and secure rich content opportunities.
Live event coverage.
Community management, as needed.
General administrative tasks (invoicing, reporting, etc.)
At least 2+ years of work experience in social media or digital journalism. Past experience in media or entertainment space preferred.
Minimum 4 year college degree. A degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism is preferred.
A healthy appetite for music, technology, pop culture, entertainment, news and current events.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media Management platforms, Google Suite.
The ability to work quickly, multi-task and pivot when necessary.
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
