This is an entry level position and we accept candidates with no previous job experience in IT support roles as long as they have a very strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and technology generally.
Daily tasks will be focused around help desk support for small businesses through email, phone, remote desktop, and onsite visits in the Chicagoland area 1-3 times per week. We support Windows, Macs, and mobile devices with an emphasis on Office 365 and Google Workspace cloud management.
Candidates for this role must have strong self direction and feel comfortable taking on client interactions and responsibilities with very little guidance from managers or other team members. Responsibilities and tasks will need to be managed by employees on a daily basis so a strong sense of organization and follow up is required.
Candidates will have the choice of working in our Naperville office or full time from home but must be based in Chicago for onsite visits to clients as needed.
Candidates should have at least some college experience and we prefer liberal arts fields such as English, History, Music, etc.
Candidates should have job experience in a customer facing retail or hospitality role at some point in their career. Strong communication and customer service skills (verbal and written) will be required in candidates above all else.
Candidates will be expected to learn on the job so a strong interest in technology and the ability to solve problems while being self directed is required for successful candidates.
