Portland State University Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking for a creative, resourceful communications specialist who is an effective project manager, organized, personable and has experience with branding for web, digital platforms, email marketing, print materials and event promotion. We want you to join our incredible team and help share all that Portland and PSU have to offer with prospective students. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position is responsible for assisting in the development, planning, and implementation of communication and marketing tactics for Portland State University’s undergraduate admissions, orientation, campus events and visits and commencement.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in a communications role
- Evidence of experience or ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous projects
- Demonstrated skills in website and social media management
- Demonstrated ability to provide creative direction to graphic designers, videographers, and/or content writers
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of individuals at all levels within the organization
- Must be able to mentor and oversee student employees

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once with competing deadlines
- Extremely organized and personable, able to ensure projects are completed on time, at a high quality while connecting with multiple campus stakeholders
- Experience using Drupal or another Content Management System (HTML knowledge a plus)
- Experience with email marketing programs and tools
- Knowledge of Google Apps and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience working with printers and coordinating print development
- Experience coordinating digital marketing and advertising campaigns

Work Days/Hours
The typical work week is M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in-office, though this job does require flexibility for evening events and optional travel.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting annual salary rate for this position is $44,160 with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
