Job description - Snowmaker
Magic Mountain is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join an awesome, team-oriented, small business community as a Snow Maker.
Job Summary: Responsible for snow production with the goal of providing high quality and dependable snow conditions. Provides support to the snowmaking team and reports to the Snowmaking Supervisor. Ensures safe and efficient performance and maintenance of snowmaking guns, placement of equipment to maximize snow coverage depending on weather conditions and maintenance of all related snow making equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Operation of snowmaking equipment including air and water hoses, air and water hydrants, tower guns, sled guns, pumps and compressors
- Safe operation of all mountain vehicles (including snowmobiles)
- Maintenance of all snowmaking equipment
- Documenting all operations performed for a hand-off report at shift change.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid work ethic and dependability
- Excellent communication and decision making skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to lift 70lbs
- Ability to work in low light conditions, in all winter season weather conditions.
- Prior snowmaking experience
Physical and Mental Demands: This position works primarily outside and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces. Must remain alert and attentive at all times. Must lift up to 70 pounds. Shoveling snow and/or ice may be required.
