IMSolutions’ Grants Management Team is looking for a qualified Team Lead to support our client the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
This position is 100% remote.
Base Compensation Range:
$90,000 to $105,000
Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.
As part of IMS’s strategy to improve the employee and customer experience and develop a pipeline for talent, we are introducing the role of Team Leader to help support our portfolio of programs. These critical leadership roles will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized technical project teams to ensure IMS is meeting client goals and expectations. You will play an important role as you liaise between our clients, program managers, project team members, and IMS corporate.
As a Grants Management Specialist III, you will support the updates of grant policies and procedures by leveraging the in-depth understanding of the full grants lifecycle from solicitation and evaluation of applications to closeout and audit.

What You Will Do:

Perform a wide range of contract/grant administration functions to assist the Government PCO/Grants Officer in acquisition planning.

Maintain copies of contracts/grants, staff all requested changes, and determine if the change applies to other contracts/grants.

Support contract/grant closeout actions.

Prepare and analyze reports using MS Excel and other tools available.

Provide knowledge and practical resources to Stakeholders to ensure customer service provided is relevant, accurate, and timely.

Provide grants administration from pre-award through closeout.

Review and evaluate the adequacy of grants/assistance policies and procedures; serve as a liaison between the Government and awardee organization.

Research and resolve any problematic transactions.
Operational Duties (Team Leader):

Oversee day-to-day teams’ operations and performance.
-
Lead/assist with the hiring and onboarding of new team members.

Conduct team meetings to ensure all team members are aware of both IMS and client/program level updates.

Ensure management systems are in place to meet client expectations of timeliness and quality for all deliverables.

Generate program status reports as required.

Approve employee timesheets.
-
Support analysis of program financial performance.
-
Ensure other employee tools are being used effectively (i.e., Stand Out check-ins, checking corporate email, YouEarnedIt, ADP, etc.).

Provide recommendations for improving stakeholder relations and developing capture management opportunities.

Delegate responsibilities as appropriate.

Attend corporate events and training as assigned.

Role may require leading virtual or offsite teams.
People Leadership Duties (Team Leader):

Create an inspiring team environment by being a catalyst for employee and client engagement.

Instill a “culture of development” by supporting staff with the creation and implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

Write and deliver annual performance reviews.

Help to resolve conflicts that may arise with employees and/or the client.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve both employee and client experience.
What We Are Looking For:
-
Bachelor’s degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.

6 years of relevant experience with knowledge of Federal grants laws, regulations, and policies, and an understanding of business and industry grant practices.

Experience in grant financial analysis and providing technical assistance and recommendations to meet the intent of the grant.

Office experience including MS Office and Google platform product skills.

Minimum (1) year of residency within the United States.

Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, and education, as well as your financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on your application. The process can also be long (100+ days).
