Next Century Corporation, a wholly own subsidiary of CACI is seeking a Mid to Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD!

Duties and Responsibilities:
Unix/Linux environments (bash, scripting, ftp, .sh); Bare metal
Java, Java Spring Frameworks, General open-source Java libraries
RESTful Web/Reactive Services (Java/Spring/SpringBoot)
Cloud-based queuing, batching, and messaging (Kafka Messaging, Kafka Streams, NiFi)
Cloud-based streaming analytic environments with big data ingestion/processing (Heron, Storm, Flink)
Containerization of services via Docker (DockerHub/Harbor, YAML files)
Docker orchestration software (Kubernetes)
SQL, NoSQL, and Caching databases (MySQL, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis)
Automated build/deployment environments – production, staging, development (Maven, Jenkins, Git)
Agile development practices (Scrum/Sprints, Jira/Confluence)
BONUS: Distributed monitoring/logging software – Prometheus, Grafana, Kabana
BONUS: Geo/Mapping technologies (WMS, WKT, GeoTools)
BONUS: Understanding of customer data feeds/types/formats
BONUS: Understanding of customer certification, compliance and policy topics
BONUS: Understanding of customer networks – protection levels, etc
